Welcome to The Bramble Patch Preschool, where play begins, curiosity blooms, and learning blossoms! We are a home-based preschool, providing a warm, nurturing environment where young children can explore, grow, and develop essential skills for lifelong learning.

At The Bramble Patch, we believe that early childhood is a time of wonder, discovery, and endless possibilities. Our program is designed to honour each child’s natural curiosity while fostering independence, confidence, and social connections.

Our Approach

We embrace a multi-approach curriculum that integrates play-based learning, child-led exploration, and meaningful engagement with enriching educational experiences. Our curriculum is structured around three key branches:

Where Play Begins – Our program's foundation focuses on 14 key developmental skills, including social-emotional growth, fine and gross motor development, problem-solving, and self-help skills.
Curiosity Blooms – A monthly focus that provides children with new themes, interests, and experiences, naturally transitioning them from toddler exploration to preschool skill-building.
Learning Blossoms – Enriching elements such as songs, poems, sign language, phonics, numbers, and early French vocabulary support a well-rounded and immersive learning experience.

We recognize that each child develops at their own pace, and we are committed to providing a developmentally appropriate program that allows children to build skills naturally, without the pressure of mastery.

Enrollment & Waitlist Information

The Bramble Patch Preschool is a legal, private, and unlicensed home-based preschool program operating within Ontario’s childcare regulations.

At this time, we do not offer subsidy and are not part of the CWELCC program.

Due to the nature of our program, we cannot accommodate severe nut allergies.

To ensure fairness in our enrollment process:

There is no fee to join our waitlist
We do not accept payment offers to move positions on the list
Spaces are offered based on availability and group dynamics, ensuring a balanced and positive learning environment for all children

When a space becomes available, we will reach out to families on our waitlist who best fit the current group’s needs.

Availability & Group Size

As per Ontario regulations for private home-based childcare, The Bramble Patch Preschool can provide care for a maximum of five children per day, including our own children under the age of four. Additionally, we can only accommodate up to three children under the age of two at one time.
