    Professional Development

    Each month I try to apply myself to courses/webinars/readings to help further my learning in certain areas of the field.

    This past March/April I found a focus on learning more about how to help children who are struggling with behaviours, emotional dysregulation and struggling with communication.

    In particular, I have been researching about speech delays and stuttering and the effects that it has on behaviour. This is due to a child in my home daycare who has had an increase in stuttering over the last few weeks. I made sure to find and share resources with his family after a conversation about the increase in stuttering.
