Drop-In Childcare

Not looking for a Contract Commitment? Still want reliable, high-quality childcare that fits your busy schedule?
The Bramble Patch Preschool offers convenient drop-in days for your little one, designed to provide a nurturing and enriching environment right here in our welcoming at-home setting in Minden, Ontario. Open to ages from 18 Months to 5 years, we hope to serve your childcare needs. 

Our Program Options

At The Bramble Patch Preschool, we offer a variety of care options designed to meet your family's needs while providing high-quality, nurturing care with nutritious meals and snacks included. Every one of our age groups, embodies this philosophy, evolving with your child's developmental journey. There will be upcoming changes in 2026 to our hours and programs. We will be open Monday - Thursday from 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. 

Fearless Foragers (Full Day)

Our Full Day programs provide comprehensive care for your child, with daily hours from 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. Each day includes two snacks and one meal. Fees are charged for 50 weeks per year, as we are closed, unpaid, for two weeks annually. These programs operate on a 1-year contract with options for full-time or part-time availability on contracted days, and are closed 15 unpaid days per year.

  • Curious Climbers 🌱- Our Curious Climbers (1-2 years) are on a journey from crawling to confident walking. We encourage their growing confidence and independence through a rich sensory environment and engaging movement-based play. This allows them to practice new physical skills and discover the world around them at their own pace.
  • Growing Gatherers 🌱 -Our Growing Gatherers (2-4.5 years) are beginning to cultivate bravery and a deeper investigation of the world. Through our holistic approach and engaging hands-on learning, we prepare them for their next big step. Collaborative play and inquiry-based activities allow them to practice new skills and build confidence as they explore.

Drop-In Divers!

Our Drop-in Divers program is available for families who need flexible, last-minute care for children of all ages.

  • Care is offered on a first-come, first-served basis and space is not guaranteed.

  • All care must be booked in advance.

  • Payment is $50 per day, is due upon drop-off, and is non-refundable.

  • A strict "zero-symptom" policy applies to ensure the health of all children in our care.

Please note: If your family is enrolled in a regular, contracted program and requires an additional day outside of your schedule, this day must be booked and will be charged at the Drop-in Divers rate.

Dawn Discoverers ☀️

Our Dawn Discoverers (2.5-4.5 years) is a morning-focused program designed to prepare your child for school. We offer a stimulating environment from 9:00 am - 12:00 pm that supports social-emotional learning, literacy, and numeracy. We provide a strong foundation through structured activities and independent exploration.

 

Trail Trekkers 🎒

Our Trail Trekkers (4-10 years) is a Before & After School program that provides a supportive transition between school and home. The morning session provides a calm start to the day, while the afternoon offers a balance of homework support, free play, and outdoor adventures, ensuring your child can decompress and connect with friends.

 

Eager Explorers 🏕️

Our Eager Explorers (4-10 years) is a summer-only camp where adventure and discovery are the focus! Each week is uniquely themed around hands-on, outdoor exploration and creative projects. We provide a fun and engaging environment where children can build resilience, make new friends, and foster a love for the natural world.

Our Enrolment Process

We aim to make the enrolment process as smooth and transparent as possible. Here's a step-by-step guide to joining The Bramble Patch Preschool:

  1. Waitlist/Enrolment Form Submission: Begin by completing our online Waitlist/Enrolment Form. This helps us gather initial information about your child and your desired care needs.
  2. Upcoming Spot Notice: When a suitable spot becomes available for your child's age and desired program, we will contact you directly to inform you.
  3. Schedule a Meet and Greet: This is a crucial step! We'll invite you and your child to visit our home-based environment. It's an opportunity for you to see our space, for your child to become familiar with me and the setting, and for us to discuss your child's unique needs in detail.
  4. Contract and Mydigitalchildcare Applications: If both parties agree to move forward after the meet and greet, we'll provide you with the necessary enrolment contract and guide you through setting up your mydigitalchildcare application. TeachKloud is our secure digital platform for communication, daily updates, and important child information.
  5. Enrolment Fees: Specific program fees will be discussed and outlined in your parent contract. Any non-refundable holding fees (e.g., for School Schedule programs) will be due at this stage as specified.
  6. Child's Transition to Care: Once all paperwork is complete and fees are processed, we'll work closely with you to plan a gentle and positive transition for your child into our care.
